ELGE
History
Elge was incorporated in December 1989 and started production with
5 employees. At the present time, Elge employs over 75 people in our
50,000 square foot facility including office, laboratory, warehouse,
quality and manufacturing areas. Our business revolves around developing,
manufacturing, and packaging pharmaceutical products.
Since March 1990, Elge has been a "private label" manufacturer
for many national companies. We can manufacture creams, liquids,
lotions, ointments, suppositories, and suspensions of various quantities. Our liquid manufacturing
and packaging capabilities range from 100 to 1800 gallons. Elge manufactures
from 50,000 to 225,000 suppositories per manufacturing batch. Our
current product line ranges from OTC products to DEA controlled legend
products.
Biography
The President of Elge, Inc. is Larry Gremminger, a registered pharmacist
who graduated from the University of Houston in 1976. He has been
involved in the manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceuticals since
1977. He is a member of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association, Texas
Pharmaceutical Association, and Branded Pharmaceutical Association.
Quality
& Regulatory Summary
Elge is continually upgrading and improving it's manufacturing processes
and procedures, with an eye toward improved quality and efficiency.
We utilize Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) as promulgated
by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Texas Department
of Health (TDH). We constantly validate our processes, analytical
methods, microbiological methods and cleaning procedures in order
to fully comply with cGMP. Elge is also registered with the Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA) for handling of controlled substances.
